Bernie Parmalee - Oakland Raiders Hire Black Running Backs Coach Bernie Parmalee is the new Raiders Running Backs Coach. He comes from Kansas City, where he was tight ends coach until 2012. With Parmalee, the Raiders Coaching Staff is starting to make moves toward diversity, but it must be said (and I called it) that running backs coach is a position that generally goes to a black person in the NFL.
